Physical Description: Approximately 1 lb of 100% Wild Alaskan Spot Prawns (Shell on & head removed). The prawns are pot-caught, washed and flash frozen to preserve the outstanding flavor and delicate texture. Please note that some of our spot prawns may have something extra – a small amount of orange/red omega-3-rich roe under their bellies. This can be scooped with a spoon to use as a garnish, or you can remove them with the shells. The name comes from the white dots that are on their shells.

Not only are they one of the largest shrimp that you could find, they have a rich flavor that is like mix of Dungeness crab and lobster. Spot prawns have a sweet buttery flavor and while they can be grilled or pan seared, these prawns go well in just about any recipe.
Fishing Practices: After the prawns are caught using pots (instead of trawls or dredges) they are processed and flash frozen to secure their quality. Our prawns are conservatively harvested near Kodiak, AK. Beck & Bulow processes our own seafood at our Kodiak facility just steps from the harbor.
