Where do you ship?
We ship to the 48 contiguous United States. Local customers in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, or nearby can choose free in-store pickup at 1934 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505, or free local doorstep delivery.
Alaska, Hawaii, or international? Call 800-674-8426 for options and rates (limited availability).
How long does shipping take?
Orders placed by Sunday at 5:00 PM MST usually ship Monday or Tuesday (to avoid weekend delays). Most arrive in 2–3 business days via UPS. Expedited options may appear at checkout depending on your location and order.
How is my meat packaged and shipped?
Perishable items arrive guaranteed frozen in a high-performance insulated cooler box with precisely calculated dry ice, ice packs, and thermal layers. The reusable cooler maintains temperature for up to 7 days. We pack every order with care to ensure perfect arrival—ready for your freezer or immediate cooking.
What if my order arrives thawed or damaged?
Our cold-chain packaging is designed for safe delivery, but if anything arrives less than perfect, contact us within 24 hours at orders@beckandbulow.com or 505-428-6827. We offer hassle-free replacements or refunds (including expedited shipping if needed). Optional Shipping Protection at checkout covers lost, damaged, or stolen orders.
Where does your meat come from and how is it raised?
We partner exclusively with small-scale ranchers and farmers who prioritize ethical, humane practices. All animals are pasture-raised or wild-caught, with no factory farming or antibiotics. We follow strict USDA standards and are proud of our transparent sourcing—from New Mexico bison and beef to wild Alaskan seafood and heritage pork. Every cut reflects that care.
Is bison meat gamey?
Not at all—our customers call it the most delicious meat they’ve ever tasted, served in hundreds of restaurants and loved by chefs. Our bison is pasture-raised, humanely handled, and hand-trimmed by master butchers, delivering rich, clean, bold flavor without gamey notes. Many say it’s milder and more tender than beef.
Are bison and buffalo the same?
In North America, yes—buffalo is just a common nickname for American bison. They’re not related to Indian or African water buffalo.
Do you offer subscriptions or meat boxes?
Yes! We have flexible subscriptions (e.g., monthly bison/beef/seafood boxes) and curated meat boxes for variety. Manage or cancel anytime in your account. Contact us for custom box recommendations.
How do I choose local pickup or delivery?
Select "Local Pickup" or "Local Delivery" at checkout (free for Santa Fe-area customers). Pickup is ready in 24–48 hours at our ranch store. For delivery, we’ll coordinate a time that works for you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Bitcoin. All transactions are secure.
Do you have returns or refunds?
We stand behind our meat—if you’re not satisfied for any reason, contact us within 48 hours of receipt and we will do our best to make it right.
