Beck & Bulow One Year Butcher Shop Anniversary Celebration
Spring is coming, no doubt about it. You can feel it in the air here in Santa Fe, New Mexico. With the changing of the seasons I find that I crave different meals to reflect the weather and fresh feelings that come with spring. Warmer days are on the way, after a long winter! We’re ready for sunny days spent outdoors, fresh meals with zest and crunch, and of course lots of quality meat cooked to perfection. Soon we’ll start getting spring thunderstorms, one of my favorite parts about this time of year in Santa Fe.
With spring comes new life and new beginnings. There will be baby bison born in the coming months, and the plants, flowers and birds will all begin a new cycle of life. Here at our butcher shop, we’re quickly approaching our one year anniversary on March 10th, 2022. So much has happened in such a short time since we’ve been open. When we first opened our doors in the middle of a pandemic, we had no idea what the future would hold for our butcher shop. It turns out, people love what Beck & Bulow has to offer. The success of the shop has far exceeded our expectations, and continues to grow. Before we opened our retail space, we offered premium meat delivery both locally and nationwide.
Over the last year, we’ve met so many wonderful people through selling meat. We’ve been blessed to share the meat that has changed our own lives with thousands of customers, both local and nationwide through our online meat delivery. We’ve heard incredible stories about how eating quality meat has improved the well-being of so many. From improved health to incredible, memorable meals shared with loved ones, this meat is meaningful and we’re grateful to be able to provide it.
The first year of our retail store has been filled with adventure. We expanded our business onto Kodiak Island, Alaska. This was a huge development and allowed us to provide our community with the highest quality wild caught seafood. The pure waters off the coast of Kodiak are home to some of the most diverse and pristine seafood on the planet. Good quality, sustainable seafood can be very difficult to find in many areas of the country, and landlocked New Mexico is no exception. It has been a huge blessing to us to be able to provide this caliber of seafood for our customers, our loved ones and ourselves. Our premium meat delivery service will bring this seafood straight to your doorstep.
Beck & Bulow knows how to throw a party. We tested out our skills this winter with our epic caviar party, complete with caviar and champagne samplings, a flamenco dancer and hors d'oeuvres by a secret local chef. It was a night to remember and it felt great to be able to invite our customers to enjoy such a luxurious evening with us. If you missed the caviar party, the good news is that we’re having an event this Thursday, March 10th to celebrate our one year anniversary of the butcher shop opening. If you can’t attend this one, don’t worry - we’ll have more events coming up throughout the year.
Join us for coffee and donuts in the morning, followed by an outdoor cookout at lunchtime with juicy, flavorful New Mexico raised Wagyu beef burgers and our well-loved 100% bison hotdogs! There will be complimentary beverages including craft beer from Rowley Farmhouse Ales. Bryson the Bison, our mascot, will be there all day. And the best part? To celebrate, we’re offering 15% off everything in the entire store. We’ve never offered this discount on leather crafts, skulls and hides before, so if you’ve had your eye on something - this is the time to spring! We’ll also be having a raffle for gift certificates, hand-painted buffalo skulls and a brain-tanned buffalo hide ceremonial box.
Whether you’re one of our regular customers who have been with us since the warehouse days or you’ve never been into the shop before, we are excited to share our passion and gratitude with everyone who wants to come by! We’d like to create an opportunity for fun and connection for the onset of the new season and our second year at the shop.
