Lamb Frenched Rack

Physical Description: Each package comes with 2 racks of lamb. A total weight of around 2.5-3lbs.

Nutritional Information: Sheep are designed to eat grass, not grain. Awhi high country lamb is 100 percent grass fed and lower in calories, cholesterol and saturated fat than grain fed lamb. It’s also higher in protein, unsaturated fats, vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and CLA (conjugated linoleic acid (CLA, an omega-6 fatty acid), making it both nutritious and delicious.

Cooking: Our flocks have been bred for generations for the taste and quality of their meat, and they graze on lush green pastures without any need for antibiotics or growth hormones. Tender and mildly flavoured, our lamb is versatile, convenient and quick to cook. Raised in nature, Awhi high country lamb delivers superb eating - tender, lean and delicious. Its consistent quality, excellent yield and low waste make it a favourite in high-end restaurants.

Farming Practices: In te reo Māori (the Māori language), Awhi means to care for, nurture, embrace and cherish, which sums up the way we see our place in the world. The Awhi way is about being connected to the land. It nourishes us, and we treat the land and everything on it with care and respect. Awhi lambs live a healthy, happy, freerange life in the hills where they were born. Our place is a remote wilderness in New Zealand’s North Island, at the foothills of Mount Ruapehu. In this spectacular landscape, we nurture the lands that have been home to more than 25 generations of our ancestors.

Questions About This Product

Flash-frozen at peak freshness. Flash-frozen actually beats "fresh" sitting on ice for days in transit — it locks in the texture and flavor at their absolute prime.

At 0°F or below, this stays at peak quality for 12–18 months. For best flavor and texture, we recommend cooking within 6 months.

We recommend thawing first for the most even cook. Move it from freezer to fridge 24 hours ahead, or quick-thaw in cold water (in the original packaging) if you're short on time.

Sourcing, traceability, and process. Our meat comes from regenerative ranches with open pasture— fully traceable from ranch to your door.

Grocery commodity meat is a different animal raised on a different plan, with a different result on your plate.

Open pasture, raised without added hormones or antibiotics, fully traceable from ranch to your door. Wild game is wild-harvested. Seafood is wild-caught from sustainable fisheries.

We stand behind everything we ship. If there's an issue with quality, freezer burn, or delivery, we'll replace it or refund you. Call 505-428-6827 or email orders@beckandbulow.com.
