Wild Boar Tenderloin (12-14oz)
Wild Boar Tenderloin
Physical Description: Each pack of Wild Boar Tenderloin weighs approximately 12-14oz, offering a generous portion of delicious and tender meat.
Cooking: Thanks to their natural diet consisting of nuts, fruits, roots, and tubers, wild boar meat boasts a unique flavor profile. With its leaner composition and darker coloring compared to pork, it delivers a sweet and nutty taste that you'll truly enjoy. To preserve its succulence and tenderness, we recommend preparing wild boar at lower temperatures. Avoid overcooking, as the lean meat may dry out. Prior to cooking, ensure proper thawing. The wild boar tenderloin requires no marinating or slow cooking. Simply pan sear it over high heat until it reaches an internal temperature of 140-145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Nutritional Information: Wild boar is not only rich in protein but also contains ample amounts of monounsaturated fats and essential minerals like zinc. It is also a good source of iron, sodium, niacin, selenium, thiamine, vitamin B6, and zinc. Compared to pork, wild boar is significantly lower in fat and cholesterol.
Hunting Practices: Our wild boar operations are situated just south of San Antonio, Texas. We source wild boar directly from trappers located throughout the Texas Hill Country. To minimize stress, our wild boar are humanely trapped and transported under the supervision of trained veterinarians. Each animal undergoes USDA veterinary inspection, meeting all necessary requirements. Since these boars are truly wild, they roam freely without the use of added hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. While most of the wild boar from the United States is typically exported to Germany, Italy, and France, this delicious meat is gaining popularity in America. We are thrilled to deliver this high-quality meat straight to your doorstep.
