100% Pasture Raised New Mexican Pork
Physical Description: Each pack comes filled with approximately 1 lb heritage pork bacon. This bacon is made from sliced pork belly from the Mangalitsa breed known for superior fat marbling.
Nutritional Information: A Source of Key Nutrients:Pork is an excellent source of protein and provides several important vitamins and minerals. A 3-ounce serving of pork is an “excellent” source of thiamin, selenium, protein, niacin, vitamin B-6 and phosphorus, and a good source of zinc, riboflavin and potassium. Cooking: Our pork bacon has everything you would expect from this amazing pasture raised source. It has nice fat content and incredible flavor. Uncured bacon is cooked the same way as cured bacon. The truth is, all bacon must be cured before eating. Uncured bacon undergoes a different process from regular bacon. A process that is better for you and much more flavorful!
Farming Practices: Our pigs are raised on a small farm on the edge of the Rio Grande river in Northern New Mexico. Each animal has approximately a half acre of land where they are free-range and have daily human interaction (which includes regular treats such as apples). USDA Certified, grain fed, their diet has consisted mainly of crude protein, crude fiber, and plant fiber. All of our pigs are hormone free and have been raised in a stress free environment. We are excited to deliver this high quality meat straight to your door.
