Physical Description: Approximately 8oz of wild caught Arctic Keta salmon. Keta Salmon, also called silverbrite, are extremely firm and high quality salmon. The flavor of Keta salmon is very mild and delicate when compared to other salmons. Some say it has a flavor between halibut and salmon. This fish has very firm flesh and is relatively lean.
Cooking: We typically recommend to roast or grill Keta salmon. Since it’s on the leaner side, is performs well when cooked at lower temperatures to avoid being overcooked. Salmon’s a heart-healthy, flavorful favorite whose firm, meaty flesh rewards simple preparations. From thrifty trimmings weaved into scrambled eggs, to versions flavoured with herbs, beetroot, whisky and more, there are products to suit most budgets and tastes. We’re big fans of enjoying it in generous slices with a dot of horseradish atop a traditional oatcake, but it’s a great ingredient to cook with too – the deeply savoury flavour imparts with stealth, meaning a little goes a very long way. Like most salmon it can also be broiled, poached, sautéed, smoked, or steamed or made into sushi.
